SOL,
Please excuse my chopped up listening-to-your-show schedule. I happened to
be listening this morning when you were talking about the Soros-Obama
"repackaging" of the Fairness Doctrine" to 'repeal' the First Amendment.
Thought you might be interested in the similarities of how Obama will use
the same technique(s) to 'repeal' the Second Amendment. To wit:
increasingly making certain kinds of ammunition illegal, making all
autoloading small arms illegal, requiring trigger locking devices, etc.
Sort of a being nibbled-to-death-by-ducks approach. Sound familiar?

On the bright side, Soros, Obama, and the rest of the usual suspects are
forgetting one very important thing that will likely bite them in the
butt.......under compliance and non compliance. They mistakenly believe
that compliance will happen either voluntarily or via jack-booted
enforcement. Sure! In this connection I direct your attention to The
Boston Tea Party, Prohibition, and the 55 mph speed limit. And then there's
the Fourth Amendment that Soros, Obama, et al will need to circumvent;
they're going to have to get around 'probable cause' somehow........the
BATFE has this problem already with bootlegger stills in the Deep South.

Here is how this dilema was explained to me by a teacher of morality and ethics;

Lets say you are driving down the road at night and see a pile of clothes in the road...or is it a pile of clothes? It kinda looks like a person...wow, it is a person, or no, is it a pile of clothes? You don't know; you can't tell. You have a choice; drive over it or drive around it.

Is there anybody out there who would seriously say that you should just drive over it and hope for the best?

Then, if after driving around it you see that it is a person, you then have a moral obligation to do everything in your power to help. That may be stopping or it may be calling emergency services or whatever. But once you become convinced that it is a human being, you have to take some action to save the life. You can't just say, "Oh what a shame; poor guy" and drive on.

The same applies for human life in the womb. You may not know what to think about the status of this life. That's a reasonable question to ponder. However, it is precisely because you don't know that you must not drive over it, so to speak. if you later become convinced that it is indeed a human being, you have to take whatever action is available to you to save the life. It amy be that the only action available to you is to vote. But whatever is available to you to do, however small, you must do.

Lynn;
Just saw your article on the front page of Human Events. They should have used your photo instead of Schumer’s above the article, but we can’t have everything. I know it is not your first with HE, but don’t remember seeing you on PAGE 1 before. WOW! Can a guest hosting gig for Rush be far behind? You deserve it. I listen to you when I can, which is not often because of my teaching schedule. I do hear your excellent Logic Minute blurbs periodically.
Keep up the great work, Lynn.
I have emailed you a few times several years ago—you may remember me as the “Academic Anomaly--conservative”

Lynn:

I heard your interview a couple of days ago from a gentleman who kept asking "Where does the Federal Reserve get the Right to do as they please"?

The answer comes as no surprise, but here it is. The Federal Reserve Bank(s) are privately owned by 300 families who are in the banking industry. The Federal Reserve Banking system came into being in 1913 with the passage of the Federal Reserve Act. It became our Central Bank, though it is not owned or operated or answerable to the US Treasury or the US Government. Whatever they do, they do on their own.

I would agree that it is time that the Federal Reserve Banking System, who issues FIAT Money (debt instruments instead of instruments backed by Gold, SIlver and Platinum) is now no longer needed and the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 should be rescinded. Their currency is worthless.

Thank You for your program and for my opportunity to respond.

Just today I received several more emails featuring humorous slants on President-Elect Obama. Some of them were quite mean-spirited and offensive.

And I must admit that I’ve forwarded my fair share of clever emails in recent years, including this year.

But I’m choosing to change something. I’m going to stop being pro-Conservative or anti-Liberal. Now, I am doing something even smarter: I’m going to be Pro-American and, yes, Pro-New-President, regardless who that may be.

I didn’t vote for President-Elect Obama, but on January 20, 2009, he will become our 44th President of the United States. He will become the leader of the greatest nation on this planet. As President, he will become the most powerful person in the entire world.

I am choosing to raise my level of respect for the man and for the position that he holds now (President-Elect), as well as the position that he will hold in approximately two months (President).

Regardless how you voted, or what you believe, one fact is true: President-Elect Obama received 52% of the popular vote in this nation. His margin of victory was the largest in the last several presidential elections.

In previous elections, I was elated when my candidates won the highest office in the land, and I expected backers of the runner-up candidate to be respectful and loyal Americans. They may have grumbled, but, by and large, they supported our country.

Now the shoe is on the other foot. It’s my turn. And it may be your turn.

Out of respect for my country, I will refrain from encouraging or distributing jokes, videos, or cartoons that disparage the office of the presidency or its inhabitant.

I was once told that humor in good taste is something that you would send to the subject of the joke with your own name attached to it. I don’t think that very many of us would forward any of these emails to our future President with our name, address, and social security number attached, and feel good about how he would respond.

If you are sending emails about our future President and you would have sent the same email if the subject was President Reagan, Bush #1, Clinton, or Bush #2, and you would gladly sign your name to that email, and if that email is of a positive note, then please continue to do so.

But please know that if the slant of your email is directed to our future President’s racial heritage, I will find that objectionable and personally offensive.

Every administration, including the present one and each before it, has had its challenges. In the past couple years, I’ve received a lot of emails poking fun of President Bush. And while I have forwarded some of them, I became convinced that we should not disparage our nation’s leader, no matter who he is. I feel that our President-Elect deserves the same respect and courtesy.

As our new President is sworn into office this coming January, I choose to look for what’s right with him, not what’s wrong.

In this time of economic and societal crisis where we currently find ourselves, those of us who did not vote for President-Elect Obama have two choices:

1. Be proven wrong and be pleasantly surprised that President-Elect Obama becomes a strong and visionary leader. His success can help my family lead a more comfortable and enjoyable life;

or

2. Be proven that our vote was correct and that he was the wrong choice. The result will be that our nation and my family may well suffer through untold hardships.

I have made the choice. I hope to be proven wrong. I hope to see our nation’s future turn around and be successful, regardless of which party or which philosophy is in power. Because I’m Pro-American. Because I’m Pro-President, whoever he… or she… may be.

I hope you feel the same way.

I am asking you to exclude me from your list of any disparaging emails about either President Bush or President-Elect Obama. I won’t read them, and will forward them only to my trash folder.

I’m also asking you to join me in putting aside feelings you may have about the November 4th election. It is now history, and it’s time for us to move forward with the hope that our country can heal and grow stronger.

Conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal --- those are the words of our President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.

It’s odd that our nation, which promises equality to everyone, is becoming so divisive at a time that someone who looks different from so many of us is about to become our leader. We are not asked to become Obamicans. We are asked to become the best Americans that we can be.

It’s that simple.

By the way, this is not something that was sent to me and that I’m passing on to you. These thoughts are from my heart, and reflect my deepest convictions. I am Bart Cooper from Waco, Texas. I manage a Chevrolet dealership, and our industry is facing challenges just like yours may be. Our industry is fighting for its very life. But that’s not why I’m writing this email.

In case this was forwarded to you and you and I have never met, please know that I am a Caucasian male, 66 years old. I voted for John McCain and encouraged my friends and family to do likewise.

I’m the guy you know from the Waco Chamber of Commerce, from just about every Baylor Bears sporting event, and you may occasionally see me on the golf course. You see me along with my family at the grocery store, the movie theater, and around town.

I’m focusing my energy on finding what’s right in our country, not what’s wrong. It’s the only way that we WILL move forward, as a nation united.

Sincerely,

Bart Cooper

SOL,
I have quickly scrolled the columns in today's Wall Street Journal and now I
feel qualified to report to you that they are not worth reading. Taglines
such as "Obama Chides Automakers" and "Obama Signals Big Stimulus Plan" and
"Summers Offers Clues on Crisis" and "Romer Joins Crowd of Strong Voices"
and "The Compleat Summers" and stuff-like-that tell me that the Democrats
are indeed in control and they are gonna superimpose their
performance-enhanced same old stuff that has never worked before. Deja vu
all over again. Insanity is doing the same things over and over while
expecting different results.

Can't wait for 2010 and 2012.

Lynn, I too am suspicious about the timing of this whole financial disaster and this is the first time I have heard anyone talk about it. I truly believe that Obama was willing to do anything to win, as were his followers. I would not put anything past them.

Anyway, I want to wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving. We do have a lot to be thankful for inspite of everything.

SOL,
This one is worth your time because it will serve to preserve what is left of your sanity. There’s no rush to read it, but do not fail to read it. As the failure(s) of these self-anointed and self-appointed ‘enlightened absolutists’ become reality (or realities) we can look forward to equivalent repeats of The Boston Tea Party, the repeal of Prohibition, and the collapse of the 55 mph speed limit in the election cycles of 2010 and 2012.

Let not your heart(s) be troubled!

Protection for the Unabilitied

Saturday, November 15, 2008

Washington, DC - November 5, 2008 - President Elect Barack Obama and
the Democrat controlled Congress is considering sweeping legislation
that will provide new benefits for many Americans. The Americans With
No Abilities Act. AWNAA is being hailed as a major legislative goal by
advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any real skills or
ambition.

'Roughly 50 percent of Americans do not possess the competence and
drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in
society,' said California Senator Barbara Boxer. 'We can no longer
stand by and allow People of Inability to be ridiculed and passed
over. With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant
special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they have
some idea of what they are doing.'

In a Capitol Hill press conference, House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi
and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pointed to the success of the
U.S. Postal Service, which has a long-standing policy of providing
opportunity without regard to performance. Approximately 74 percent
of postal employees lack any job skills, making this agency the single
largest U.S employer of Persons of Inability

Private-sector industries with good records of non-discrimination
against the Inept include retail sales (72%), the airline industry
(68%), and home improvement 'warehouse' stores (65%) At the state
government level, the Department of Motor Vehicles also has an
excellent record of hiring Persons of Inability (63%).

Under The Americans With No Abilities Act, more than 25 million
'middle man' positions will be created, with important-sounding titles
but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of
purpose and performance.

Mandatory non-performance-based raises and promotions will be given so
as to guarantee upward mobility for even the most unremarkable
employees. The legislation provides substantial tax breaks to
corporations that promote a significant number of Persons of Inability
into middle-management positions, and gives a tax credit to small and
medium-sized businesses that agree to hire one clueless worker for
every two talented hires.

Finally, the AWNAA contains tough new measures to make it more
difficult to discriminate against the non-abled, banning, for example,
discriminatory interview questions such as, 'Do you have any skills or
experience that relate to this job?'

'As a Non-abled person, I can't be expected to keep up with people who
have something going for them,' said Mary Lou Gertz, who lost her
position as a lug-nut twister at the GM plant in Flint, Michigan, due
to her inability to remember 'rightey tightey, lefty loosey.' 'This
new law should be real good for people like me,' Gertz added. With the
passage of this bill, Gertz and millions of other untalented citizens
will finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Said Senator Richard Durbin (D-IL): 'As a Senator with no abilities, I
believe the same privileges that elected officials enjoy ought to be
extended to every American with no abilities. It is our duty as
lawmakers to provide each and every American citizen, regardless of
his or her inadequacy, with some sort of space to take up in this
great nation and a good salary for doing so.

Bin Laden's gang attacked the World Trade Center in '93,immediately
after Clinton took over& they never attacked our homeland during Clinton's
last 8 years ,despite the fact that Clinton was perceived as a defense-weak
president. Why should we then assume that since they similarly attacked us shortly after Bush took over, that the fact that we haven't been attacked
in Bush's intervening years, automatically proves that the Bush administration has kept us safe?
This type of reasoning has at least the beginnings of a Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc, logical fallacy. The big difference between the 2 attacks was that the 2nd one was far more "successful" than the 1st.It does not necessarily follow that this fact obviates a proximate followup.

It's true that there have been intervening efforts, such as the shoe-bomber,
& the dirty-bomb conspiracy of Jose padilla,& the Lackawana
6,& the 4th of July LA Airport attack. However the only 2 that acted
were lone individuals & we have no proof that the multiple, organized
threats planned, were really imminent of materializing.

It's sort of a chicken-egg situation ,where the only way we could verify that they meant business was if they had actually attacked.Frankly
it seems like improbable luck that we just happened to squelch
every multiple attack that was planned--& no one escaped our purview.

nevertheless, for sake of argument, let's assume that Bush has kept us safe. It's also true that the totality of the Bush effort, over 8 years,
has INSURED the destruction of the Republican party & the imminent
installation of ...Obama (or was that Osama?)

If you take 100 dollars to the race track to bet & you come home broke
,it's of little consolation that you were winning going into the
final race.If you invest in the stock market & are ahead for the 1st
year, but nevertheless, end up w/ a devastating loss,I see no way of
thanking you for your effort.
Now it's true that ,normally, one person cannot be held responsible
for failures that follow upon his watch..unless...there's no question
that the totality of your effort created such a negative attitude
to you so as to NECESSITATE the voting-in of the incompetent
that follows.Obama harped on his nonsense about "change" FOR ONE
REASON--because he knew we were sick of Bush's overall effort.
Make no mistake, Bush is directly responsible for us being stuck
w/ a weird socialist like Obama. Every other socialist of Obama's
ilk has been defeated DRAMATICALLY, starting w/ McGovern in 1972
and yet Obama, being the most extreme of all, succeeded.

For me this makes Obama the direct legacy of Bush & George is indelibly
reponsible. If Obama takes us to oblivion defense-wise ,Bush cannot
escape blame for Obama's presence. Now had a Republican followed
Bush to the oval office, i would've made no such ,mandatory, correlative
ascription.I would've credited it to a random choice of electorate
