From Ruth:
(National Day of Prayer)
Dear Lynn Woolley,
Following is the info on the Temple Noon event (last year it was a standing room
only crowd in City Council Chambers) and the Central Texas event
at the Expo Center. We appreciate the help in getting the message out.
Blessings, Ruth Daniel cell 254-718-0002
On April 15, over 2,000 people attended the TEA party in Belton. Surely many
more than that will want to gather to call upon our God in prayer asking for
HIS intervention into the ways that our nation is heading. Many are trying
to block HIM from schools, to limit HIM in government meetings and athletic
events. Efforts are being made daily to block HIS WORD from being heard
around this nation. Please mark your calendars now and plan to join with
others throughout Bell County on MAY 7, 2009 at noon in Temple and at 7pm
at BELL COUNTY EXPO CENTER for THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER. There is
no dress code and all are welcome. The 58th Annual National Day of Prayer ..

http://www.daniel1132.comThe National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May,
inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint
resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S.
Truman. In 1988, the law was amended and signed by President Reagan, permanently
setting the day as the first Thursday of every May. In 2008, all 50 state governors
and the governors of several U.S. territories issued proclamations asking citizens
to set aside the first Thursday in May as a Day of Prayer. In 2004 a task force of
citizens from several area communities arranged the first observance of National
Day of Prayer for Central Texans in the Bell County Expo Center.
Last year many people said, This was awesome, this arena should be filled with
people. We agree, please join us in praying that the Expo Center is filled with
Central Texans seeking GOD'S help for our nation.
