Also, in today's WSJ is an oped column, "The Green Hornet." Contained
within this column is the implied prescription for the destruction of the
Democrat Party should Obama win and the Democrats strengthen their
congressional numbers. Those things that Obama declares he is gonna do
spring from that mindless Democrat Party philosophy of brainlock of their
philosophy of reasoning known as inductive reasoning.

Back a couple of decades ago you and I unearthed a lot of philosophical
community that we both subscribed to: Among other things we had both read
the book "Positioning" and understood its logic. The book "Positioning" is
a shining example of total deductive reasoning. In this philosophical
community context I think that we should have a communication (all for your
benefit, of course) regarding deductive reasoning and inductive reasoning.
Both can be either a weakness or a strength depending upon how they are
applied.

Sidebar: Denominations aside, I regard you as an above-average lightweight
in the area of Christian Doctrine. (Hey, I said above-average!) We can go
there someday if you should be really (I mean really!) interested.
Meanwhile, don't let any callers or guests suck you into discussing things
like Purgatory, dancing as sin, or drinking a beer as sin.

want no credit over the airwaves, but did you look carefully at the picture
on the front page of today's Waco birdcage liner? The attendant article
declares that this is a McLennan County Commissioners meeting but it looks
more like a Weight Watchers orientation.

60 to 80 pro-lifers came out this morning to stand against
Planned Promiscuity. This was more than ever.

PP will claim that over 500 youths attended.
Our count (performed by Brian Shaw) was 268.
Planned Parenthood is always the great deceiver.

Hypothetically, let’s say that tire inflation and tunes up would off set gas usage in automobiles but what about some of the other products of crude oil such as lubricants, asphalt, perfumes, insecticides, ect. Each year in Waco, the Planned Promiscuity of Waco youth conference is the occasion for a pro-chastity/pro-promiscuity clash. This morning's 19th annual conference lived up to expectations. Thanks to the 60 to 70 pro-lifers who came out this morning and to all who prayed for success.

Both Channel 6 (KCEN) and Channel 10 (KWTX) came out and covered both sides of the event. Check them out at 5, 6 and 10. I am praying for fair coverage. If you can't watch these stations, you can view coverage Thursday on the web (www.kcentv.com and www.kwtx.com). If the coverage fairly portrays our side of the story, I plan to place the stories out on Youtube.com.

We held a variety of signs. Two of the messages were: "Stop Planned Promiscuity" and "Embrace Chastity, It's FOOLproof." Many also engaged those entering the Convention Center to explain with talk and flyers why they should turn back. Several did turn back and many seeds of virtue and decency were planted. This outreach was led by Rev. Ronnie Holmes of Church of the Open Door, Rusty Thomas of Elijah Ministries, and Molly White of Redeemed for Life Ministries in Belton.

A major part of our message was revealing the disgusting and dangerous content of Planned Parenthood web sites for children. I think all of you are familiar with national Planned Parenthood's www.teenwire.com. While this is awful, there is something out there from a PP Waco affiliate that makes teenwire seem tame. If you can stomach it, check out www.takecaredownthere.org.

We were honored to have with us this morning two gentlemen from Houston who are running for U. S. Congressional seats. The Republican challengers are John Faulk (Congressional District 18) and Eric Story (Congressional District 29).

A handful of pro-life friends attended the Nobody's Fool preview Tuesday evening at the Waco Convention Center. Only about 40 total attended this event. Our friends as well as others raised questions about the Planned Parenthood approach to sex education. PP leaders revealed that they would not be giving the semi-pornographic book Its Perfectly Normal to children this year. It is obvious that PP is just responding to our exposing them for distributing this scandalous book. One Planned Promiscuity leader stated that they expected 400 to 600 children to attend the Nobody's Fool event. We made a careful count on Wednesday morning and found that only 268 children went into the Convention Center. Does it surprise you PP Waco would lie about this?

Next year will be the 20th Annual Nobody's Fool sex promotion conference. PP Waco will make a big deal out of this. So will we!! Please make plans to walk in, drive in, or fly into Waco to help us out next summer. Plan a vacation around this. The weather in Waco is just lovely during the summer months.

Adoption numbers?
One of the main headings on the home page of the
Planned Parenthood Central Texas Web site is "Abortion
Information." The next heading is "Adoption Information."

We are informed that Planned Parenthood provides
adoption services along with surgical and RU486 abortions.

In its most recent newsletter, Planned Parenthood of Central
Texas presents its 2007 service report. Along with 18 other
service categories, the report lists 1,246 abortions for the year.
The report doesn't even list adoptions as a service category.
Apparently, the number was zero.

Actions are quite revealing and speak much louder than
Web page words.

I heard a bit of today's show running in between ribbon cuttings and had a few comments.

When I was in Abilene and very involved in Ad League there, we had the issue of changing the name of a rather long and industrialized road to, as it was, Martin Luther King Blvd. The whole thing got to be a huge political football, of course, and the city actually contracted Ad league in Abilene to do an independent study of some of the impacts of the change.

That was a couple of decades ago now, and I don't remember a whole lot about the study, but one thing really made an impression on me. And it is an economic impact that is seldom addressed when groups look to change the name of a road to recognize an ethnic or political leader.

At that time (remember, in the mid-80s), the study showed that it would cost each business on the changed road an average of in excess of $3,000 to accommodate the change. Some more, some less, but an average of over $3,000. That included, obviously, printed business material like business cards, stationary and envelopes. But that was only a part of the cost. Add to that whatever number of business forms were involved, and data processing changes that needed to be specifically programmed to accommodate the change (which wasn't as easy then as it is today; generally that couldn't be done in-house).

Additionally, one other cost that was identified was the waste involved in simply having to throw away materials which had already been produced and paid for that were rendered obsolete and unusable nearly overnight by the change.

On this particular road, there were about 170 businesses. Doing the math, of course, said that the businesses on the road were going to collectively foot a bill in excess of over half a million dollars to make the change. This was the cost over an above the costs to the city we normally think about. This was a change that was basically going to be forced upon the business owners, with very little input on their part, by people who openly said, at the time, that the cost to these business should be viewed as very minor in comparison to the sacrifices made by Dr. King. Certainly easy for them to say!

As it was, the name of this particular road was NOT changed, mostly for that reason. But it sure made me consider the issue of road name changes in a different light.

I wonder what, in today's dollars, the economic impact to the Dallas business community would be in changing the name of Industrial to Cesar Chavez Blvd.? Rhetorical question, of course, because I have a hard time getting my arms around real world numbers that big.

Second, Lynn, as you know, while we don't always agree, we're on the same page about 85% of the time. But on today's show, I heard the most outrageous comment you have EVER made on the air.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the segment on the Paris Hilton ad. I, like you, laughed a good bit the first time I saw the add Wednesday morning.

But on one point, I think you have to be way out of line. Like I said, outrageously so.

Paris Hilton may be an awful lot of things, some good, some bad.

But, Lynn, you have to be absolutely out of your ever living gourd if you really think Paris Hilton can possibly be referred to as "an empty dress!"

What happened to those new glasses in the designer frames you were supposed to have gotten from TSO?

With Americans struggling to make ends meat and with the outrageous price of gasoline, how can you sleep at night knowing you haven't done your job in giving the American people some kind of relief? As Speaker of the House, it is imperitive that you recall Congress and address the options available to them to ease the burden we are facing regarding the cost of gasoline. If you continue to ignore your responsiblities, I feel compelled to do what ever is necessary to remove you and your obstructive cohorts from office. Your vacation is NOT more important than the wellbeing of the American people. You can "Save the World" on your own time. Your on our time now.

Henninger's WSJ column today is merely more eloquent than what the USL has
been saying for about a year now. To wit: Even if Obama is elected and even
if the Democrats increase their majority in Sodom-On-The-Potomac the news is
still good-in 2012 this nation will be clamoring for that next Reagan and
the then-new Republican majority will have been chastened and they will
understand that their votes in the WGDB (world's greatest deliberative body)
are being closely watched by those of us who elected them.

Lynn, How are we going to fly planes w/ wind power or solar power. I don’t think they will fly after being plugged into an electrical socket all night either. So, are all these people that are against drilling willing to give up flying? I don’t think so. What about all the products that we use everyday? I don’t think people are thinking about that. Plastic is a prime example. I don’t understand how anyone can be against drilling. It is hard to be logical in an illogical world!!

Yesterday, we said goodbye to Fannie Mae Banton, a member of our DAR Chapter who was 106 years old. There was a precious story told at the funeral I have to share with you.
Six years ago Fannie drove to Austin because there was a good sale and she didn’t want to miss it. She was stopped by a Highway Patrolman for driving 45 miles an hour on I-35. The patrolman looked at her driver’s license for a very long time and finally, obviously incredulous, blurted, “Ma’m, you are a hundred years old!” Fannie, with a hint of indignation in her voice, retorted, “Young man, don’t you think I know that.”

Would you explain why you keep beating up Pres Bush about the 2 border patrol agents and
never mention why they are being held? I believe they did not report the incident and they
withheld evidence. Please tell the whole story as it is important for people to understand
exactly what they did wrong...and it was not for just firing on a suspected drug dealer who
they thought must be armed, and wasn't.
