I can’t believe no one has organized a tea party in the Temple area.

Take Action!
I urge you to please support this movement. Please support, attend and/or help organize a TEA Party rally in your community. Please encourage others to do the same.

I ask one special favor. If a radio station in your community has a talk show, would you call the host and ask him or her to sponsor the TEA Party rally in your community. Thanks so very much.

Please forward this information to others.

Click here for information on TEA Party rallies.

Lynn,

I'm a regular listener to your show and this morning, March 24th, I heard you talking about our "Green President." I know that this letter didn't get national media attention. But it is interesting to note that the commission of scientists hired by the U. N. to study global warming had an interesting and somewhat unexpected response...yet it has been ignored. I won't say any more. Here is the link to the letter to the U.N. from it's own scientific commission on Global Warming.

Enjoy...it's logical. I would love to hear this discussed on the air.

This commentary is written by Dr. Don McLeroy, the chair of the Texas State Board of Education. The evolutionists have tried to portray McLeroy as being a "dunderhead" who knows nothing about what real science is. Here is a man who graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Doctor of Dental Science degree from The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. McLeroy obviously knows exactly what real science is, and he and many others on the SBOE want all students to have the academic freedom to study both the strengths and weaknesses of hypotheses and theories. It is the pro-evolutionists who want to misinform students and make them think that evolution is unquestionably true. The preliminary vote on the K-12 Texas Science Standards (TEKS) is tomorrow with the final vote on Friday, March 27. -- Donna Garner

COMMENTARY

McLeroy: Enlisting in the culture war

Don McLeroy, SPECIAL CONTRIBUTOR

Wednesday, March 25, 2009
What is the greatest challenge facing science education in Texas? The answer is simple: to make sure an excellent teacher is in every classroom. What's the greatest challenge in writing the state science standards? It is identifying appropriate content that builds from grade to grade and leaves our high school graduates college and work force ready. However, the greatest difficulty in writing these standards is the culture war over evolution.

The controversy exists because evolutionists, led by academia's far-left, along with the secular elite opinion-makers, have decreed that questioning of evolution is not allowed, that it is only an attempt to inject religion or creationism into the classroom. Even Texas' 20-year-old requirement to teach the scientific strengths and weaknesses of hypotheses and theories has come under attack. Words that were uncontroversial and perfectly acceptable for nearly two decades are now considered "code words" for intelligent design and are deemed unscientific. The elite fear that "unscientific" weaknesses of evolution will be inserted into the textbooks, leaving students without a good science education and unprepared for the future, compelling businesses to shun "illiterate" Texas.

The editorial writers incessantly argue that evolution skeptics are motivated by religion, that they are anti-science and fundamentally dishonest. In contrast, evolutionists are portrayed as sincere defenders of the truth, completely honest and free of any ideological bias. But who is rejecting the empirical demonstration of science, that is, the directly observable and verifiable, for ideological purposes? Let us find out as we take a close-up look at a two-step solution to the controversy.

The first step is to define science in a way that is satisfactory to both sides. Using new wording from the National Academy of Sciences, Texas' standards define science as "the use of evidence to construct testable explanations and predictions of natural phenomenon as well as the knowledge generated through this process."

This definition replaces the academy's 1999 language that was very controversial; it stated that science was "to provide plausible natural explanations for natural phenomena." The change from "natural explanations" to "testable explanations" is very significant. The old definition was inferior in that it undermined both the philosophy of the naturalist and the supernaturalist. By circular reasoning, the naturalist was prevented from using science to prove that "nature is all there is," and the supernaturalist was prevented from offering supernatural hypotheses. With the new definition, both the naturalist and the supernaturalist are free to make "testable" explanations. The debate can now shift from "Is it science?" to "Is it testable?"

The next step in resolving this controversy is simply to use the scientific method to weigh in on the issue of evolution. Consider the fossil record. What do we actually observe? What are the data?

Stephen Jay Gould stated: "The great majority of species do not show any appreciable evolutionary change at all. [This is called 'stasis.'] These species appear ... without obvious ancestors in the underlying beds, are stable once established and disappear higher up without leaving any descendants."

"...but stasis is data..."

Once we have our observations, we can make a hypothesis. The controversial evolution hypothesis is that all life is descended from a common ancestor by unguided natural processes. How well does this hypothesis explain the data? A new curriculum standard asks Texas students to look into this question. It states: "The student is expected to analyze and evaluate the sufficiency or insufficiency of common ancestry to explain the sudden appearance, stasis, and sequential nature of groups in the fossil record." It should not raise any objections from those who say evolution has no weaknesses; they claim it is unquestionably true.

And the standard is not religious but does raise a problem for the evolution hypothesis in that stasis is the opposite of evolution, and "stasis is data."

If we are to train our students, engage their minds and, frankly, be honest with them, why oppose these standards? If the standards do not promote religion and they are not unscientific and they deal directly with the data, then possibly these standards are being opposed for ideological reasons. This supports the argument that this culture war exists, not because of the religious faith of creationists, but because of the rejection of the empirical demonstration of science by academia's far-left and the secular elite opinionmakers.

First, “free” speech in talk show cases is meant to be responsible and intelligent speech, not a talk show host screaming at a call-in listener like most do. It insults the listener and the caller.

I imagine that if you and Limbaugh were in the room in Philly where the founding fathers were putting together the Declaration of Independence and later hammering out the Constitution, you’d have been told to leave because you were offering anymore than slogans, slurs and silliness.

You have to earn your place at the table. Be intelligent. Be concise. Don’t be silly.

Perspective, my friend. That’s what it’s all about.

I am also really passionate about how the "O" administration is trying to change references to "terrorism" and the "War on terror" in an effort to change public perception!!! "Man caused disasters" and "Overseas contingency operation" do not have emotional impact needed to keep people focused on the REAL threats to the USA!!! This is in addition to the REAL threat this administration poses on my beloved Republic!! My son is an active duty Marine currently serving in Iraq in order to preserve the freedom these idiots use to tear down what has taken over two hundred years to build!!!

Sarah palin has been harrassed by a series of ethics law suits
exactly starting w/ her choice as V P mate. The law suits ,intended
to bankrupt Palin & her husband, have added up to 500,000 dls.
This goes in line w/ what Democrats do routinely. In the 90's
democrat David Bonior filed 87 ethics complaints vs Newt gingrich
before he finally got one that stuck. Newt had to pay 300,000
and later it was overturned.I don't know what Newt did about
getting his money back (that he had to borrow)

This all goes back to the discussion we had last week about
Democrats' lack of substance & why they can't hack it on talk radio.
Air America's gone bankrupt twice, despite huge donations from
Hollywood & george soros, while Limbaugh gets gigantic profits

Dems win only by personal destruction. It's pretty clear that
they got Obama elected EXCLUSIVELY as a protest against Bush
by both Republicans & Dems.I myself hated .....Bush

Democrats are the negative party, but what was the 1st thing that
Clinton complained about during Impeachment? He complained
about "personal destruction" .That's why i've had it w/
Republicans like both Bushes & Bob Dole & McCain, who befriend
the Clintons & Kennedy. Bush Sr foundation actually gave a lifetime
achievement award....LIFETIME....to Ted kennedy on Nov 7.2003.
I personally called the Bush foundation to verify it.
Dems succeeded in undercutting Mitt romney, aided by McCain&
Huckabee & they've started early w/ Sarah Palin

Lynn,

60 minutes interview, Steve Croft says "Are you punch Drunk?"
Astounding comment since it came from CBS,,,,

Some people that saw it asked "Is he stoned on pot" "Is he drunk"
He exhibited that obnoxious" Shit Eating Grin"
"The Gallows Humor" comment.

O(Zero) had the worst week in the history of the Presidency.

Monday---said wounded veterans should have their own private health care pay for their medical needs.

Thursday---Jay Leno---"My bowling looks like the Special Olympics" He was immediately answered by a Special Olympian Bowler who has bowled several 300 perfect games.

Friday----taping of 60 Minutes.

To make amends for his "Trashing of All Special Olympians" the public is demanding that he donate
$1,000,000. of his own personal money to The Special Olympics.

Lynn, you have the airwaves. We are Counting On You to get this message out to the Public.

Obama has to think that we are all ignorant based on his comment that a number of economist believe that in order to stabilize our economy we must turn our health care over to the government. Does he not think that we know there are between 12 and 20 million illegals draining the health care system. Send them home and not only will our unemployment problem be solved but so will healthcare

Lynn,

Just wonder what you think of this.... if this thing is passed, it will be in direct violation of the constitution, which plainly states that congress shall pass no law establishing a religion, nor preventing the free exercise thereof.

Obama Youth Brigade: Church Attendance Forbidden

Obama Youth Brigade: Church Attendance Forbidden

By Jonas Clark

Is this the change you really voted for?

President Obama has only been in office for two months.
Now we have
HR 1388. The Bill was sponsored by Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) with 37 others. The Bill was introduced to the floor of the House of Representatives where both Republicans and Democrats voted 321-105 in favor. Next it goes to the Senate for a vote and then on to President Obama.

This bill’s title is called “Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education” (GIVE). It forms what some are calling “Obama’s Youth Brigade.”

Obama’s plan is require anyone receiving school loans and others to serve at least three months as part of the brigade. His goal is one million youth! This has serious Nazi Germany overtones to it.

The Bill would forbid any student in the brigade to participate in “engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.” That means no church attendance or witnessing.

Again, is this what America voted for?

Here is part of the HR1388 Bill’s wording:

SEC. 1304. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND INELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS.

Section 125 (42 U.S.C.
12575) is amended to read as follows:

SEC. 125. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES AND INELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS.

(a) Prohibited Activities- A participant in an approved national service position under this subtitle may not engage in the following activities:

(1) Attempting to influence legislation.

(2) Organizing or engaging in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes.

(In other words dissent is not allowed nor is dissenting influence.)

(7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.

(Whatever happened to freedom of religion and keeping government OUT of religion? See what's going on ....? Coerced volunteerism is all you hear about - not the devil in the details.)

This might work because it is so simple, so don’t count on our Washington Brainiacs to even consider.

This was an article from the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper on Sunday. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on "How Would You Fix the Economy?"

I thought this was the BEST idea. I think this guy nailed it!

Bruce

Dear Mr.President,

Patriotic retirement:
There's about 40 million people over 50 in the work force; pay them $1 million apiece severance with stipulations:

1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.

2) They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.

3) They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis
fixed.

Hello Lynn! I absolutely love your show and deeply appreciate the message you are getting out there! My question is as follows. Do you have any knowledge of the concentration camps that America has? It seems that these camps are set up for people who oppose the Obama administration I.E. Christians. Im hoping you will look into this topic and if any truth can be intertwined with it, I hope you will begin to bring light on this very scary matter. I know conspiracy is something we try stray away from but being a fellow Christian i assume you believe 100% of what it says. I have read in the forums that they actually have those decapitation devices and it says in the end times we will have our heads chopped off. It's kinda funny that there is rumored to be over 600 of these camps and they are fully functional but empty, just waiting for us to fill them!

here are the hyperlinks!!!

Please email me back. I try to listen to your show as much as possible but my job is choppy and i am not always by a radio. I would love to know what you think about this.
