Vast Write Wing - October 2010

Postby lwoolley on Fri Oct 01, 2010 7:51 am

SOL,
There's a dandy opinion column in today's WSJ by Peggy Noonan titled The Twister of 2010.

First, the column inspires me to further explain my belief that "we" (that entity that is today known as the USA) are headed toward devolutionary/enclave and I welcome this realignment with enthusiasm. This trendline toward said devolutionary/enclave is not (that's NOT!) defeatist or fatalistic; it is realistic and more than that, it is survivalistic (I hope that is a word). We can all love our socialistic, communistic, redistributionist brothers and sisters but we can't afford them. This enclaving, both demographic and geographic, that is occurring is supported by the lessons of history and those who are determined to ride in the wagon and never help pull it really should go to live with their own blue-state kind! Their Boy Blunder, who temporarily lives in The White House, can lead the way to those socialist-redistributionist nirvanas of California, New York, Michigan, et al. Down here in Texas, and other locales that are populated with the proletarian unwashed, we will do the traditional values dance to the music of the Value Added combo.

Amazing --- again! Your insights run the right wing gamut from m - n.

You read too much of what you agree with and you're not out in the real world. Go to Whataburger and stand in the line and be with the real folks instead of sitting around at lunch at the county club with your pals who sit in a circle and fire "you're right" comments at each other.

Was listening to your show this morning when you were talking about this subject, absolutely TV commercials are louder than the show you are watching. A friend of mine, Jon Simek brought my attention to a piece in the paper 6 months or so ago about congress not going to do anything about the TV commercials being 20 % louder than the show, I am so tird of being blasted out of the room when commercials come on, but I mute them most of the time or fast forward past them. This is just my obervation Jim Curry

Lynn-
Chicago has great Pizza. But their politicans are dirty. President Obama is trying to make the rest of the United States to be more like the South Side of Chicago. Yikes.

Lynn-
I remember when Tony Curtis was involved in the No Smoking campaign. He got arrested in England on possesion of marajuana. That fall he was back again in the No Smoking commercials. Everybody said, "They quit." They came to him and he said, "I quit. Cigarettes that is." It was hilarious.

In all the storm about Meg Whitman's nanny, completely unasked is why Meg couldn't find some American college girl to work for...TWENTY-THREE....dollars per hr! This certainly puts the final lie to Bush's famous "Jobs Americans won't do" .I'm sorry, there's some other answer.

Shame on George for trying to sell us that nonsense, when only NFIB members & the Chamber of Commerce ever believed it. It points up the very reason conservatives are in the arrears presently. They don't live up to their philosophies on far too many levels and they keep "reaching across the isle"to join "big tent beliefs" and choosing half-ass Republicans to represent them....BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE CONFIDENCE THAT THE PUBLIC WILL ACCEPT CONSERVATIVES,such as Tom McClintok

Now surely this last statement doesn't apply to why Republican employers embrace illegal aliens, but it does apply ..to why people like mcCain tell Rick Santorum, "We can't be seen as bigots.we've got to go along w/ illegal immigration for the sake of The Hispanic population"

Since the 60's ,our whole politcal philosophy has been changed to where the productive members are reduced to...considering...FIRST..."inclusiveness" & the needs of the underclass, rather than the good of the country. At the bottom (be honest) It's why we elected Obama

Robert Fowler <RVF1369@aol.com>

Several questions for Mr. Barron:
1) What is his political affiliation?
2) What church does he attend?
3) What are his views on muslims and their beliefs? If he believes that muslims are also created as our equals, then we have a problem.
4) Where does he plan to "move" Texas in the future?

SOL,
Over the past 15 years or so I've called your attention to lotsa reading material. Saturday's WSJ has an opinion column by one Steve Moore that summarizes an interview with U. S. Rep Eric Cantor. The title of the column is Things Could Get Pretty Messy. This one is particularly suited to your airwaves. Rep Cantor declares implicitly and explicitly that Republicans like Paul Ryan, Jeb Hensarling, and Marco Rubio have indeed "got it!" and things will begin a-changin' effective in November. I'm ready and I know you are. My philosophical context: About two decades ago I was encouraged to run for Bell County Commissioner against Roy Goad. I feel sure that those encouraging me had second thoughts upon my declaration that my platform would be 'One Term!' A lot of folks are not gonna like me or my philosophical purity. Think Jesse Ventura.

SOL,
Couple of thoughts just to take my mind off college football:
1. I watched Blago on Huckabee's show a few hours ago and I had a mini-epiphany.......since Patrick Fitzgerald is the prosecutor please explain to me just how Blago can be found guilty?
2. First, some caveats. I am not a conspiracy theorist and I'm not acquainted with Jim Tranum. And I am aware that auto manufacturers have been trending toward reducing nameplates (particularly the redundant ones), and reducing their total number of dealerships for years. For example, please note that Johnson Brothers now sells everything Ford and Mac Haik sells everything Chrysler. Pontiac and Oldsmobile are both gone and Mercury soon will be. But interpret the following: Buick and GMC trucks franchises will no longer belong to Jim Tranum in a few weeks. The federal government owns 60% of General Motors. Texas is a red state with two Republican senators and our US Representative, John Carter, is a Republican. The US President, the House, and Senate are heavily Democrat and, surprise, surprise, the majority ownership (you know, the management) of GM decides that a Buick-GMC franchise is not needed here. Could there be a thread of consistency here or is it just me? BTW, did I mention that the federal government owns 60% of General Motors?

Ho hum. Ho hum. Boring, boring, boring.

Your squeaky little voice is just a squeaky little voice. Gut up. Man up!

Run for office. Dogcatcher even. Make a commitment -- or just remain a squeaky little voice.

What are you hiding? What dark secret in your past prevents you from taking the step toward elected office?

Pro-life people such as myself do not consider ourselves "anti"
anything but we are constantly portrayed that way in the Jurassic
Press. The other side gets it's way with it's descriptive terminology
-- "pro-choice." But all that means is the right to kill an unborn
child. of course, if pro-aborts call it what it is, no one would
support it.

I was taking my 10 year old grandson and 5 year old granddaughter home
from a family reunion when we passed the life chain. They wanted to
know why all those people were standing there and holding signs. I
told them. Their mouths flew open. I had to explain the procedure,
and did so in a way that a child could understand without being
grossed out.

The 5 year old could not believe anyone would do that to little
babies. "You mean mean no one wants them?" she asked with big wide
eyes.

And that's why I am not a liberal and could never under any
circumstances ever vote for a Democrat.

You are sounding more and more like Rush everyday. He doesn't take many calls either. It was a very good program. Although I do like your callers. But todays's program was good for a change. Keep it up.

Lynn,

I have to correct you on your statement towards the end of your program today (10/4/10). I must apologize i wasn't able to call in cause we were swamped up here @ work. You said "I think George W. Bush started the TEA Party" this statement is patently false, and laughable at best.

Ron Paul supporters in 2007 Nov-Dec raised hundreds of millions of dollars for his 2008 presidential campaign. Ron Paul supporters launched websites in 2007 http://www.teaparty07.com for example. These Ron Paul supporters labeled themselves as "TEA PARTY" in 2007, way before Palin/Beck/Hannity and rest of the NeoCons ever got the idea of taking the TEA Party over.

Here's a video link on youtube which was uploaded November 2007, check the upload date, was created by Ron Paul Supporters. Notice towards the end the final screen you see is "TEA PARTY 2007".

Love your show Lynn, too bad i couldnt call in, and I hate having to correct you on things like this, but then again I stand for truth.

I'm really upset over General Funk's charge that Mr. Flores has a plan for privatizing VA Medical Care and that he's seen it. First of all I'm a retired solder (30 some years) and the thought of an Army General lying to me is very hurtful, whether retired or not. Honor is a huge thing to those of us who made the military our life......so, having said that I kind of hope that Mr. Flores does have such a plan.....a plan that can be seen.

BUT, I have this "better angel" sitting on my shoulder telling me that there's no way Mr. Flores has such a plan and no way that the General has seen such a plan by Mr. Flores.

I believe we should all be asking Mr. Edwards and General Funk for a copy of this plan that the General has seen and if he says he no longer has it, then we should be asking where was he when he seen it and when.

I sincerely hope that the General has indeed "seen the plan" as he states.

The General also states that it would be dishonoring us to have privatized medical care for veterans. Why would that be the case. I wonder if he considers Medicare a dishonor to our seniors.....one of which am I.

I would very much like to see this plan, the same plan that the General says he saw. Maybe you with the clout you have, can post a copy of it on Be Logical.com........mac in killeen

lynn,
no im not afraid of muslims. one of my best friends is muslim as a matter of fact. the mainstream muslims are peaceful decent people. its absurd to condemn a whole religion because of a few]
extremists. there are also christian extremists, who should not cause condemnation of all
christians. and christians really dont have room to claim such peacefulness and superiority.
remember the slaughter of the crusades?
i respect your right to be anti-abortion. but its a mistake to confuse pro-choice with the
democratic party and liberals. some democrats are in fact anti-abortion.
personally i believe in a womans right to control her own body, not the governments.
i am more concerned about stopping the endless senseless slaughter of dark skinned people by the wars of our empire. do you really think its worth billions chasing 100 al queda in afgh??
and do you really think there will ever be "victory".
peace, alan
