I went to college for 3 days. And I turned out ok.
Currently Operations Coordinator of Subway Temple/Belton
Own and operate a nursery (Guthrie Gardens)
Plus have a property management company.
Not going to college gave me the freedom to pursue a few years of professional rodeo and boxing. Believe me those stories way better than frat party story's. Education is very important but not always essential. Take care guys. John

Lynn-
We need to get out of Afghanistan. Tomorrow will not be soon enough. If they continue to be a haven for terrorists we will bomb them “UP” to the stone age.

College for all?

Not unless you want more liberals and liberal
professors to indoctrinate them.

Note that we were led into this mess by college-educated
folks mostly from prestigious Eastern Ivy League
institutions. More of them will not help us.

News flash not seen: welcome to 1979:
inflation is back. Propane yank refill went
from $14 and change to $17 and change at Hewitt HEB
on Friday, the same day the tank went dry. Also
order of chicken tenders were $3.49 for 3, now the same
price for 2. I am sure the McClures [and Bernanke]
have not noticed. After all, it is just food and fuel.
necessities of life for us peons.

Nathan:

I hear alot about how Obama is a puppet and the theories of who is pulling the strings. But Rush Limbaugh has ignored the Birth Certificate issue completely.Rush, after more than a year was frustrated enough to make the statement 'God and Obama have one thing in common, they both don't have a Birth Certificate.' It caught so many off guard it was the big news in blogs and Talk shows for days. Some had thought Rush was going to start the B.C. drum beat. And then the lady who slipped passed his call screen-er and told Rush that he would hang his head in shame for dropping the ball on the issue.Again the news for days.

Mitt Romney owns Talk Radio. He bought Clear Channel in 2007 just before he launch his 2008 presidential bid. I want to know why we are not hearing about this ? A major on line news source who rented bill board signs for their "where is the birth certificate" campaign, a frequent question in the ranks of the Tea Party movement.Clear Channel (Mitts Media company) would not rent them signs to display their message. The GOP tea party front groups would not touch the B.C.

Now the question of Mitt Romney being a duel citizen of Mexico, and what the Constitution says about that is being ignored. Marco Rubio a possible V.P. pick is in the same position as Obama not being a natural born citizen qualified to be president is ignored.

These are legitimate questions deserved to be asked and answered of all candidates. The fact they are not being asked on Talk Radio and other Republican media sources might prove the theory the GOP media claims of Obama is more true on the Republican side.Show me where your strings lead to Talk Radio ?

Remember, the Tea Party People Raising Up was a response to both political parties. If the People allow the GOP to provide the supposed "vacuum of leadership" than it will have devastating results. The Tea Party movement was birthed by individuals not in herds.

A great article. One of the most intellectual human beings in this country, hits it right on the head ! ! !

Occupy Wall Street by Thomas Sowell

By Dr. Thomas Sowell

The current Occupy Wall Street movement is the best illustration to date of what President Barack Obama's America looks like. It is an America where the lawless, unaccomplished, ignorant and incompetent rule. It is an America where those who have sacrificed nothing pillage and destroy the lives of those who have sacrificed greatly.

It is an America where history is rewritten to honor dictators, murderers and thieves. It is an America where violence, racism, hatred, class warfare and of murder are all promoted as acceptable means of overturning the American civil society.

It is an America where humans have been degraded to the level of animals: of defecating in public, having sex in public, devoid of basic hygiene. It is an America where the basic tenets of a civil society, including faith, family, a free press and individual rights, have been always rejected. It is an America where our founding documents have been now shredded and, with them, every person's guaranteed liberties.

It is an America where, ultimately, great suffering will come to the American people, but the rulers like Obama, Michelle Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Joe Biden, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, liberal college professors, union bosses and all other loyal liberal/Communist Party members will live in opulent splendor.

It is the America that Obama and the Democrat Party have now created with all the willing assistance of the American media, Hollywood, unions, universities, the Communist Party of America, the Black Panthers and numerous anti-American foreign entities.

Barack Obama has brought more destruction upon this country in three years than any other event in the history of our nation, but it is just the beginning of what he and his comrades are capable of.

The Occupy Wall Street movement is just another step in their plan for the annihilation of America.

"Socialism, in general, has a record of failure that's so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it."

Dr. Thomas Sowell (A National Humanities Medal Winner)

-- The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are out numbered by the people that vote for a living.

The Canadian pipeline rejection is not about the environment it is about how
it effects one of the Presidents biggest support. Warren Buffet and his
Berkshire Hathaway investment group owns BSNF. BSNF presently has the
contract for transporting oil from Canada to the US. Pretty simple...it is
all about the money. Ken

James <beanmark@vvm.com>

Romney's rehearsed lines, Santorum's angry and lengthy explanations - Robotic responses and angry rebuttals will not win the most important debates in the Fall. It will take some one like Gingrich with his broad experience of how Washington works and deep understanding of American history. He has the intellect and most chance to win. The Dems made fun of his candidacy from the start I think because they knew this. Thanks Lynn for seeing what many Republicans and Conservatives are unable to see!

Lynn-
Your last segment about the economy made more sense than anything I have heard in months. Most of it went over my head but it meant that we would be having inflation for years. Bernanke wants growth, even if it is mostly inflation. Thank you.

I've been listening to you for about five years now. I know that there isn't a single GOP candidate with whom you are in 100% agreement on every single issue. I also know that you are one of those searching for his "Not Romney" candidate. I've heard you criticize the various candidates on each of his shortcomings - Gingrich's hand-holding with Pelosi, Perry's idiotic "you don't have a heart" comment, Romney's big government tendencies, etc. But you reserve the condescension only for Ron Paul, with whom you vehemently agree on every issue, save one. Why the venom, Lynn?

Is it a defensive reaction to the Paul crazies? I've heard you say that Paul has a small, albeit fanatical, following that does not grow. This is not true. The last time Paul ran in the primaries (in 2000, I believe), I laughed along with the rest of you at the ridiculous little man with silly ideas about abolishing the Dept. of Education, the IRS, the Federal Reserve, and the EPA. And now, I look around and see that almost everyone has jumped on that bandwagon. Apparently, the ridiculous little man was right.

Yeah, yeah, I know...it's his foreign policy. But when you disagree with any other candidate, it's just a disagreement. When you talk about Paul, it's almost hateful. I can literally hear the sneer on your face. I just heard you and Ben practically salivating at the idea of Paul being involved in a backroom political deal. You sound like - brace yourself, this is gonna hurt - a bunch of progressives that just heard about a religious conservative involved a major scandal. Almost as if it would make you happy if Paul's record was tarnished.

I AM NOT one of the crazies. I don't waste my time with conspiracy theories, I don't call other conservatives Neo-Cons, and I don't think the "Limbaugh triplets" are statists. When you dismiss Dr. Paul, there are (some) people listening that aren't nuts, but appreciate that Paul was LIGHT YEARS ahead of the rest of us regarding the economy, education, taxes, and personal liberty. And Lynn, you're dismissing us as well.

Have a lovely day!

Lynn, first it was Bob McDole's turn and later it was John McCain's turn and now it's McRomney's turn.

You're not serious. Drug laws were not written at the founding of our nation, and we didn't have an issue with rampant drug use. Cocaine and other now-illegal narcotics were availabe over the counter not all that long ago. The violence associated with drugs are a result of making them illegal, much like the prohibition of alcohol in the twenties. And, like prohibition, the drug laws have been nothing but a complete and utter failure. At some point, we have to consider the results of a policy, not just the intentions.

Just because I disagree with the use of drugs doesn't mean that there should be a federal law against it. By the way, Mr. Pocket Constitution, what specific clause gives the federal government the authority to regulate the use of drugs?

Lynn-
Miitt Romney looked like a conservative 4 years ago when compared to John McCain and Huckabee. Or at least he was more conservative than them. Who does Floyd think is a conservative? Ron Paul is a Libertarian.
Round Rock Ron

Ps- I love listening to your show.
