No sooner had I suggested Paul Ryan as a great choice to run
on the ticket with Mitt Romney, than Paul Krugman of the New York Times
referred to Ryan as “not interesting.”
It makes you wonder who Krugman thinks is “interesting” in his party –
maybe Dick Durbin? Al Franken? At any rate, I’m not looking for
someone who is interesting – but someone who can fix the Obama mess. Ryan has a serious plan to do it, so
what do the liberals say? That
Ryan wants to take away healthcare from the poor. That he wants to cut the taxes of the wealthy – same old
talking points. But Krugman goes
even further, charging that there is a conservative cult – the cult of Paul
Ryan. Krugman, of course, is the
nations’ number one proponent of the idea that when you’re in a hole, keep
digging. Ryan wants to reform
entitlements and plug the hole.
That’s an idea that seems interesting.
