Now a word in support of Mitt Romney regarding the so-called “box” he’s in about Obama’s new amnesty for young illegal aliens.

It’s true that Romney adopted the hardest line of any Republican candidate during the primary – but Romney’s position is exactly the law.  That’s right.  Obama is going against United States immigration law with his order – in a runaround of Congress.  Romney never said he would be against some policy changes – but he said his administration would enforce the law.  Every president swears on the Bible to faithfully enforce the laws of the United States.  Obama has failed miserably at this oath.  His administration is against enforcing voter eligibility laws.  He doesn’t enforce the Defense of Marriage Act.  Now, he’s resorted to simply changing the law by fiat.  Mitt Romney, to his credit, understands that laws are made by Congress and the President’s job is to enforce them.
