Logic Minute 7-19-12

President Obama has opened a widow – not only into his own soul – but into the core beliefs of the progressive movement.
Mr. Obama has lectured the nation, saying that no one is self-made. In short, it takes a government to be a success. This is part of his campaign’s attempt to take Romney’s strong point – his business experience – and diminish it. Of course, it’s beyond silly. All countries have roads and bridges and most have internet access. But still, there are few Bill Gateses and Michael Dells. That take s a special kind of entrepreneurship – and Mitt Romney has it. If Mr. Obama wants to demean capitalism and then make Romney the face of it – bring it on. Romney can point to nations – usually poor ones – that practice Obama-style socialism, and make Obama the face of it. If Obama wants to play this game, it’s one Romney should be willing to engage, because it will help him win.
