By Wes Riddle May 27 2012 Memorial Day was originally designated as the 30th of May, but starting in 1971 it has been held the last Monday in May creating a convenient 3-day weekend. Memorial Day is observed today as a public holiday dedicated to the memory of the fallen who died in service to their country in wartime.

No matter how you vote on November 6th, there will be a bevy
of lawyers standing by on both sides to challenge the outcome. Republicans and Democrats are already
lawyered up in anticipation of Election Day disputes. In fact, lawyers are already at work fighting over
redistricting maps and voter identification laws. No election since the Bush-Gore debacle of 2000 has
been so heavily influenced by the courts. |

make the talking heads on MSNBC go nuts – but Judge Tom Head has done it. In an interview on KJTV in Lubbock,
Judge Head was being asked about a tax increase for “worst case
scenarios.” The judge listed
them: President Obama’s
reelection, Democrats retaining control of the U.S. Senate, and a category five
hurricane. |
