President Obama shortly after a suspect identified as 24-year old James Holmes
shot up a movie theater in Aurora, Colorado. Mitt Romney, in a similar tone of voice, told his
supporters, “I stand before you today not as a man running for office, but as a
father and grandfather, a husband, an American.”
What they were trying to say is this: We have just witnessed an occurrence
that should make us discuss events in a serious and meaningful way.
